Takeyuki Kondo

Born in Kitakyushu, Japan, he was involved in a terrorist attack while in New York City in 2002. As a result of a major change in his outlook on life, he became a freelance saxophone player. Currently, he is a member of his own leader quartet and several bands, and performs at events such as "Mojiko Tenku JAZZ", "JAZZ in Fukuoka Castle", "Nakasu JAZZ", as well as at live houses in Kokura such as "SWING21" and "88Nelson". He tries to keep a fun live style. He also works as an event producer and lesson instructor, as well as producing music seminars and workshops, and in 2011 he joined the Southern All Stars tribute band "Kawamura Band. In 2006, he joined the Jazz Lab at the University of Kitakyushu, where he was influenced by Bill Evans and developed his own style of playing. Influenced by Bill Evans, he developed his own unique style of playing.

Influenced by rock music, he started playing the bass guitar and lived in New Zealand for a year, performing at street gigs and jazz bars.
He started playing wood bass in 2008 and is currently working as a supporting musician at various jazz events and gigs in Kitakyushu, Mojiko Retro, Fukuoka and Yamaguchi.

Born into a music family for a living, he started learning piano in the first grade of elementary school and drums in the second grade of elementary school, and started working as a drum instructor while he was still in college.
In 2004, he formed a fusion band called Delicious Four, in which he performed with Godiego guitarist Takamori Asano and former Cassiopeia bassist Tetsuo Sakurai, among others.
In 2015, he appeared on drums in a jazz band for the world premiere of the orchestral piece "Window of Europe," a fusion of jazz and classical music, as a concert.
In 2015 and 2019, he participated in the recording of former H2O's Kenji Nakazawa's original album, and has participated in many stage and release productions, from pop to jazz, gospel, Latin, oldies, etc. He is active as an all-round player in a wide range of genres.
