Session Content

We will have a round table discussion with sales representatives from the following payment companies to discuss current and future trends in payment methods for online shops.

  • PayPal
  • Paidy
  • Paygent

The navigator will be Mr. Tanaka, who has been involved in online shopping companies since 2000 and has developed payment systems for Rakuten and Bidders (now DeNA). He has been involved in the development of payment systems since the early days of Rakuten and Bidders (now DeNA).

After working for a credit card company as a new sales representative in the face-to-face payment area, he was transferred to Paygent, a subsidiary company. At Paygent, he was responsible for developing new merchants in the online payment space.
In 2020, he joined the Vendor Alliance team, where he worked with system vendors and other partners to support the introduction of credit cards and other payment methods to merchants.

Since 2000, he has been involved in the operation and management of online shops, and in 2001, he established a subsidiary in the United States, based on his overseas business experience.
He has experience in managing and operating online shops with monthly sales of up to 250 million yen, and now he is mainly involved in development.
He has been a core contributor since WooCommerce 2.1 in 2013.
Now he is mainly developing EC system with WooCommerce.
